Novitas AI Charter

At Novitas, we want to be clear about how we use AI and what our customers can expect from us.

We believe in learning, people, and applying our passion to what we do. AI can help us work faster and smarter, but it does not change who we are or how we support the people around us. From January 2026, our team signed our AI charter, which you can read below.

AI can help us, but it does not replace the judgement, experience, or passion that our team brings to our customers. AI supports our work, not the other way around.

We use AI to create efficiencies that benefit our customers. 

If AI helps us work quicker or reduce effort, our customers should feel those gains in what we deliver.

We are open about when we use AI. 

If AI played a part in something we deliver, we will say so. There is no need to hide it. Attribute creators and information sources within our work and ideas

We check our facts and respect other people’s work. 

We keep our sources clear and we do not take anything at face value. AI can be wrong, so we always review and confirm before using anything it produces.

We protect client data. 

We will not put confidential information into AI tools unless we have permission and the proper safeguards. 

​

We keep people informed. 

We will continue to have people in the business who stay up to date on new tools, good practice and changes in the industry, and who help the rest of the team stay informed.

We will evolve this charter as the landscape changes. 

Like technology, our approach will adapt. We commit to reviewing and refreshing this charter regularly to ensure it stays relevant, ethical and aligned with our mission.

We will maintain AI champions across the business.
